Something not working? See [Common problems](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/ajuda/problemas/).

## Getting set up

### Do I need to install anything?

No: RPG Desk runs in the browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Opera, up to date). If you prefer, there is also the [Windows app](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/comecando/conta/#in-the-windows-app), with the same interface.

### Does it work on a phone?

It does, in the phone’s browser. On a narrow screen, the room’s spaces merge into one, with the tabs side by side. For running games, a computer is more comfortable.

### Does RPG Desk speak English?

It speaks Portuguese and English. Switch in **Settings → General → Language**. Each person chooses their own language; in the same room, one person can play in Portuguese and another in English.

## Playing

### I joined the room and cannot do anything

Whoever joins a room for the first time is a **spectator**: they watch and chat, but have no sheet. Ask the game master to make you a player. See [Roles and moderation](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/mestres/papeis/).

### How do I roll dice?

Type `/r` and the roll in the chat (`/r 1d20+5`), use the quick dice below the message box or the buttons on your sheet. See [Dice and rolls](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/mesa/dados/).

### How do I show everyone a spot on the map?

**Alt + click** on the map, or hold the mouse button still: everyone sees the ping. See [Scene and map](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/mesa/cena/).

### Where are my sheets?

In the room’s library, kept on the server: you find them from any computer. Only a few things stay in the browser: your **Mine** macros, each sheet’s preferences and the arrangement of the tabs and spaces.

### Can I play in more than one room at the same time?

You can: up to 8 open rooms. See [Windows and several rooms](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/mesa/janelas/).

## Running games

### How do I give a sheet to a player?

Right-click the player, in **Participants**, and choose **Create a sheet for…**: the owner is already right. See [Players’ sheets](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/mestres/fichas-dos-jogadores/).

### How do I hide part of the map?

With fog, which you reveal bit by bit, or with token vision, which shows each player only what their character sees. See [Fog, walls and vision](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/mestres/nevoa-e-visao/).

### How do I make a sheet for my system?

RPG Desk’s sheets are pages in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with the rpgdesk.js library. You can write one by hand or ask an AI: see [Creating sheets](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/fichas/) and [Create with an AI](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/fichas/com-ia/).

### Do plugins have internet access?

No. A sheet only sends data out through Zapier, Make or IFTTT webhooks, and only after the game master pastes the address in **Integrations**. See [Integrations](https://docs.rpgdesk.com/en/mestres/integracoes/).
